The task of the researcher is deciphiring the landscape, putting it into relation with the society in which he lives. Convinced that the landscape should be considered how an alive entity, like a dynamic space of organisation, it is essential to exceed the traditional opposition between anthropic landscapes and natural landscapes, relying on the biocenosis concept in the consciousness that the salvation of the cultural property passes through his recognition and cognitive widening. The memory represents the foundation on which there is elaborated the image of our future: it takes us away from a way of thinking that reads "quickly" only the present time, it is necessary to recover all the buildings that have contributed and helped to realise the space, from those literary and artistic to those archaeological. A space that has impressed the marks of the collective and personal memory in which a judgement about the present time is reflected and that recovers materials and inspirations of other epochs, to allow a connection between the individual thought and the vision of the creative imagination.
