The Introduction to this anthology aims to show how Bruno Leoni’s intellectual adventure has been truly unique. An ex-tremely multi-faceted and eclectic libertarian scholar (he was a jurist and a philosopher, but had a passion for political science and economic theory, as well as history of political ideas), he paved the road for new researches that would be capable of integrating lessons of very different origins. This text emphasizes the importance of his analysis of Kelsen's theory and his own original theory on the role of the "individual claims".

Abstract

The Introduction to this anthology aims to show how Bruno Leoni’s intellectual adventure has been truly unique. An ex-tremely multi-faceted and eclectic libertarian scholar (he was a jurist and a philosopher, but had a passion for political science and economic theory, as well as history of political ideas), he paved the road for new researches that would be capable of integrating lessons of very different origins. This text emphasizes the importance of his analysis of Kelsen's theory and his own original theory on the role of the "individual claims".
