Giuseppe Zamboni (1875-1950) held two courses on the Critique of Pure Reason at the Catholic University of Milan in the years 1928/29 and 1930/31. These studies trace the first Critique starting from the transcendental Dialectic to return to the Introduction, to the Aesthetics and to the transcendental Analytic. In this way they are able to provide us with a singular reading of the Kantian text in the light of the perspective of pure Zambonian gnoseology. On the one hand, in fact, criticism of metaphysics is examined with reference to the assumptions of the Kantian mentality, which from the outset excludes the possibility of a knowledge of what exceeds the purely phenomenal plane; on the other, the categories of Analytic are valued in the light of the fundamental cognitive functions, without however sharing the apriorism of the approach. To overcome Kant's difficulties it would be necessary to reconsider the experience of the ego, not only the pure cognitive ego, but also the ego of feelings and acts of will, from which one can regain the properly ontological plane; at the same time, an examination conducted without prejudice could show how from experience we can justify the necessary and universal value of our knowledge, without any recourse to a priori.

Abstract
To overcome Kant's difficulties it would be necessary to reconsider the experience of the ego, not only the pure cognitive ego, but also the ego of feelings and acts of will, from which one can regain the properly ontological plane; at the same time, an examination conducted without prejudice could show how from experience we can justify the necessary and universal value of our knowledge, without any recourse to a priori.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
