In this paper we present an update of the ongoing topographical research in Grumentum. Recently we have published (Mastrocinque - Saggioro 2012) the results of a geophysical survey with a gradiometer on the central area of this ancient Roman city, and they have been combined with the interpretation of aerial photographs and satellite images (Fig. 1). This is a work in progress, where we are going to use different methodologies in order to progress as far as possible with precision and detail in our interpretations. The informatic analysis carried out and presented here has been produced in the Laboratory for Archaeology of the University of Verona (CLARCH).

Abstract
In this paper we present an update of the ongoing topographical research in Grumentum. Recently we have published (Mastrocinque - Saggioro 2012) the results of a geophysical survey with a gradiometer on the central area of this ancient Roman city, and they have been combined with the interpretation of aerial photographs and satellite images (Fig. 1). This is a work in progress, where we are going to use different methodologies in order to progress as far as possible with precision and detail in our interpretations.
