The abstract of my oral presentation presents the analysis of intensifiers in a corpus of congressional debates identified according to the political party of the speaker in comparison with the use of intensifiers in interviews and statements of politicians defined as moderate Republican, Moderate Democrat and a Convervative Repubblican Tea Partier. The statistics show that the use of intensifiers in their language use reflects their ideological stance.
