The paper analyzes cultural relationships and cultural mixing between Jews and Christians in seventeenth-century Venice, by taking magical knowledge as an observation point. Strategies of social integration will be considered, as well as the use — by members of the Venetian Jewish community — of the category of diversity. The source material will be drawn from the Inquisition, and from civic and criminal magistrate’s courts.
