Lo studio si prefigge di delineare il ruolo strategico del Marchesato del Finale all'interno del sistema imperiale spagnolo, e di valutare la tipologia di governo del territorio messo in atto dai dominatori iberici nel corso del XVII secolo, nonché di comprendere il grado di condizionamento esercitato dal Finale nell'evoluzione del rapporto di alleanza fra Genova e Madrid.
The study aims to outline the strategic role of the Marquisate of Final within the Spanish imperial system, and to assess the type of government of the territory enacted by Iberian conquerors during the seventeenth century, as well as understand the degree of conditioning undertaken by Finale in the evolution of covenant relationship between Genoa and Madrid.
