The authors employ an integrated micro-macro simulation model to assess the impact of agricultural sector reforms and international trade agreements on Italy’s rural population. The analysis shows how macro approaches based on general economic equilibrium can be compatible with micro approaches involving the simulation of individual behaviour. This chapter also provides some general insights into the statistical specifications of samples, the interpretation of data and techniques for constructing integrated micro-macro models for application in the distributive analysis of macroeconomic policies.

Abstract
The authors employ an integrated micro-macro simulation model to assess the impact of agricultural sector reforms and international trade agreements on Italy’s rural population. The analysis shows how macro approaches based on general economic equilibrium can be compatible with micro approaches involving the simulation of individual behaviour. This chapter also provides some general insights into the statistical specifications of samples, the interpretation of data and techniques for constructing integrated micro-macro models for application in the distributive analysis of macroeconomic policies.File in questo prodotto:
