This focus originated in the aftermath of the AIDEL Annual Conference Law and Memory, held on 21-22 November 2024 that we hosted at the University of Verona (Italy). This special issue is indeed the outcome of the interdisciplinary enterprise and the fruitful dialogue between the papers presented at the conference. As this issue confirms, they outline a thread connecting memory, history, and the law which has generated an inter-disciplinary debate with a reflective, fictional, and imaginary potential.
