This dataset consists in a corpus of court decisions issued in 2025 by the Taiwanese courts. It is aimed at providing data showing how metaphor is perceived and invoked in the courtroom. The primary research question that studies using this dataset will ask is: How is metaphor perceived by the people appearing in the Taiwanese courtrooms? Decisions were retrieved online from the official website of the Taiwanese Ministry of Justice (https://judgment.judicial.gov.tw/FJUD/default.aspx). Texts were found by inputting metaphor signals that signal the likely presence of metaphors (e.g., pìyù 譬喻). Decisions are stored as text files that can be processed through corpus software facilities that are commonly used by linguists.

Abstract
Decisions are stored as text files that can be processed through corpus software facilities that are commonly used by linguists.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
