This study discusses the convergences, also historically founded, of the relationships between the grammatical works of great scholars such as Melanchthon, Giambullari and Linacre that allude to training paths that underlie shared schools of thought. In particular, the interest in syntax, as a trait d’union with the Modistic school on the one hand, and the renewed union with syntax in terms of ‘figurative syntax’, on the other, allow us to create a framework of syntactic theory that supports a certain strand of vernacular grammaticography and creates a bridge of linguistic reflection towards the modern age, between the rebirth of classical Latinity and the nascent vernaculars.*

Abstract
This study discusses the convergences, also historically founded, of the relationships between the grammatical works of great scholars such as Melanchthon, Giambullari and Linacre that allude to training paths that underlie shared schools of thought. In particular, the interest in syntax, as a trait d’union with the Modistic school on the one hand, and the renewed union with syntax in terms of ‘figurative syntax’, on the other, allow us to create a framework of syntactic theory that supports a certain strand of vernacular grammaticography and creates a bridge of linguistic reflection towards the modern age, between the rebirth of classical Latinity and the nascent vernaculars.*| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
