Among the activities proposed by the MelArete programme in primary school is the reflective writing. The chapter presents the structure of a journal where children are invited to write virtuous actions, in particular actions of courage, generosity, respect and justice, they carry out in first person or see carried out by others; then it describes the method used to analyze the students’ conceptual development as it is proved in the diaries; finally, some of the emerged findings are commented.
