Among the activities proposed by the MelArete programme are the explorative activities, designed to explore the children’s ethical thinking at the beginning of the educational path. The chapter presents a game and a written activity realized with the primary school children in order to collect their ideas about courage, generosity, respect and justice, and their answers to the questions “What are virtues?” and “How can virtues be learned?”; then it describes the method used to analyze these answers and the emerged findings.
