This book presents a care-based approach to virtue ethics that inspires a theory of ethics education, which is outlined starting from a deep examination of ancient philosophy put in dialogue with contemporary care thinking (part I); such theory constitutes the basis for an educative project that designs a way of realizing ethics education (part II). This theoretical and educational work takes the name MelArete, which unifies the following two words of the ancient Greek: melete, that means ‘care’ and arete that means ‘virtue’.
