This paper aims to provide a summary if the ecclesiastical institutions around Verona and the principal 'reformed' monastic and/or canonical orders present within the city of Verona from the late 11th century to the first half of the subsequent century, coinciding with the settlement of the Vallombrosan monks there. This overview, accompanied by some reflections on the intricate implementation of reform in the diocese of Verona, serves to contextualise the arrival of the monks at the church of the Santissima Trinità and their subsequent endeavours within the local context. The latter part of this essay is directed toward identifying the interrrelations of the Vallombrosans with the other urban religious entities and highlighting - albeit relying on scant and fragmentary documentation - the "pastoral" efficacy of the monks among the believers, at least until the conclusion of the 3th century.

Abstract
This paper aims to provide a summary if the ecclesiastical institutions around Verona and the principal 'reformed' monastic and/or canonical orders present within the city of Verona from the late 11th century to the first half of the subsequent century, coinciding with the settlement of the Vallombrosan monks there. This overview, accompanied by some reflections on the intricate implementation of reform in the diocese of Verona, serves to contextualise the arrival of the monks at the church of the Santissima Trinità and their subsequent endeavours within the local context. The latter part of this essay is directed toward identifying the interrrelations of the Vallombrosans with the other urban religious entities and highlighting - albeit relying on scant and fragmentary documentation - the "pastoral" efficacy of the monks among the believers, at least until the conclusion of the 3th century.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
