L’edilizia abitativa privata nell’ager tarquiniense. Confronti ed ipotesi preliminari per un caso di studio: la domus del mitreo

The paper is a preliminary analysis of possible comparisons for the building excavated by the University of Verona in Tarquinia between 2016 and 2018. All the examples with any possible similarities are to be found in southern Etruria. The aim is to give an interpretation for theso called “Domus del Mitreo” thanks to an analysis of other structures with a similar chronology, ground plan, construction technique, use or topographical position. The first part aims to briefly outline the historical and geographical context of the excavations. The second focuses on aspects of the domus comparable with other structures in the area.
