The paper provides a translation of Sophocles’ Oedipus Tyrannus, vv. 1–215. The prologue in iambic trimeters (vv. 1–150) has been translated into hendecasyllables; as for the parodos, in lyricis (vv. 151–215), the Italian version makes use of lyric verses in metrical responsion.
