The everlasting images of female energy have been long celebrated and passed on from generation to generation as symbols of natural strength and supernatural appeal. Occult allegories and “veiled” practices have roots in the belief that there is a corresponding realm to the material world in which we spend our human existence. The American TV series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, aired in 2018, renders the story of a half-witch girl, Sabrina, who is starting her “bewitched” education while trying to lead a “normal” life. The apparent normality of the protagonist’s life is here tapped into a world of blurring and non-binary characters who seduce the audience and invite them to resist “othered” experiences.
