Abstract

The analysis of three early medieval documents from the territory of Verona allows focusing on a small village where the interests of a local community of wealthy people converged. Differently from the previous tradition of studies, this article also states that Bussolengo in the early Carolingian period belonged to the territory of Verona, and not of another district.
