Introduction to the English edition. The author explains that this book is more than a generic introduction to queer theories, insofar as it takes a position in the Italian debate on them and responds to the political polemics they’ve been recursively sparking over the last thirty years. The author makes a strong case for valorising the situatedness and non-neutrality of the book’s approach in defence of LGBTQI+ rights, in defence of the freedom of teaching and research, in defence of a radical idea of democracy.

Abstract
Introduction to the English edition. The author explains that this book is more than a generic introduction to queer theories, insofar as it takes a position in the Italian debate on them and responds to the political polemics they’ve been recursively sparking over the last thirty years. The author makes a strong case for valorising the situatedness and non-neutrality of the book’s approach in defence of LGBTQI+ rights, in defence of the freedom of teaching and research, in defence of a radical idea of democracy.File in questo prodotto:
