The chapter pays attention to Seneca's translation of Epistulae morales ad Lucilium carried out by Fernán Pérez de Guzmán along with the context in whichwas produced, taking into account the most recent studies and contributions. The Spanish translation derives from a Florentine version, which in turn comes from the French translated text, the oldest know. The work delves into the textual traditions whici reach from the Latinto the French and the Florentine, to trace its filiation towards the Spanish version. It also analyses some examples of editions and more recent translations of Seneca's epistles.
