Some recent papers about Sacchetti's Trecentonovelle [Zaccarello 2014; 2017] challenge Franca Brambilla Ageno [1958] to have displayed as her own conjectures 38 corrections to the text that she would have tacitly drawn from the secondary manuscript tradition. They are actually 38 errors committed by V. Pernicone while copying the fundamental Borghinian ms. B for his critical edition [1946] and delivered to the following editors including the last one. As she declared, Ageno confined herself to carefully collating the B ms. on her own copy of the Pernicone edition (now at the Accademia della Crusca) and correcting all 38 misreadings.
