The present chapter offers an overview of the state of the art in the study of the relation between liability and treatments selection. It discusses the main results from the existing empirical studies and their main shortcomings. First, we reason on the theoretical mechanisms underpinning the relationship under investigation by presenting the main empirical predictions of the related literature. Second, we provide a comprehensive summary of the empirical evidence. Finally, we discuss the main weakness of the estimations run so far and conclude offering guidelines for further research.

First, we reason on the theoretical mechanisms underpinning the relationship under investigation by presenting the main empirical predictions of the related literature. Second, we provide a comprehensive summary of the empirical evidence. Finally, we discuss the main weakness of the estimations run so far and conclude offering guidelines for further research.File in questo prodotto:
