Contributo alla caratterizzazione genetica di alcune varietà di V. vinifera L. del germoplasma toscano

Sangiovese, Montepulciano and Prugnolo gentile have played an important role in the past of the Italian viticulture and specially of the Tuscany region and are still fairly important for their present and future. For this reason, we have undertaken characterization of these cultivars using molecular methods, with a special aim towards their identification and the genetic relationships between these 3 cultivars. Several biotypes of Sangiovese, Prugnolo gentile and Montepulciano, conserved at the ampelographic repository of INRA (Institut de la Recherche Agronomique, France) at the Domaine de Vassal (Marseillan Plage, France) and at the ampelographic repository of San Felice (Castelnuovo Berardenga, Siena), as well as some clones listed in the Catalogo Nazionale delle Varietà di Vite have been analyzed. For the analysis of this material, a molecular characterization using six microsatellite markers (SSR, Simple Sequence Repeats) have been realized. The markers SSRs are very polymorphs and codominants and therefore very useful in the study of varieties characterization. The statistical analysis of the data will enable us to characterize the genetic relationships between Sangiovese, Montepulciano and Prugnolo gentile and by proceeding in this study we will able to estimate their relationships with other Italian cultivars.
