Abstract
The opening report of the International Congress held in Verona in 2005 on the theme "Christian Wolff between empirical psychology and rational psychology" traces the development of the Wolffian psychology perspective: from praelectionum Ratio of 1718 and the German Metaphysics, 1719, is reconstructed the problematic context that leads to the distinction between empirical psychology and rational psychology.
