The Strategic Association agreement between the European Union and the Mercosur, includes a specific chapter on sanitary and phytosanitary measures. This work presents the principal aspects, the interpretative rules in order to the WTO’s Agreement on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures, the precautionary principle and the trade facilitation measures in the bilateral agreement.
