In order to describe the relation of purpose in Italian and German in such a way that the variety of linguistic means that can express it on an intralinguistic and interlinguistic level emerges, it is necessary to start from the conceptual structure of purpose, inverting the perspective underlying traditional grammars. Starting from the concepts it is possible to 'reinterpret' the purpose and show that the forms of expression that realize the objective are multiple and often phraseological. Purpose should be adequately treated in the teaching/learning of LS, especially since the complex connectors that realize it lend themselves to be described also according to constructionalist approaches, with advantage for the learners. Abstract

More specifically, connectors with final value are examined, in the second part of this work, from the point of view of lexicography, collocation research, phraseology and, finally, Construction Grammar.
