The Code developed in 1903 by the the volunteer Order of Physicians of Sassari has been traditionally considered the first Italian Code of Medical Ethics. Our paper puts in doubt this primacy. We did several archival research and we found interesting ethical and deontological documents dating between the eighteenth and the twentieth century. In particular, here, we focus about two previous codes, one produced by the medical Chamber of Istria (1897) and the other one wrote by the Medical Chamber of Trento (1900).

Abstract
The Code developed in 1903 by the the volunteer Order of Physicians of Sassari has been traditionally considered the first Italian Code of Medical Ethics. Our paper puts in doubt this primacy. We did several archival research and we found interesting ethical and deontological documents dating between the eighteenth and the twentieth century. In particular, here, we focus about two previous codes, one produced by the medical Chamber of Istria (1897) and the other one wrote by the Medical Chamber of Trento (1900).File in questo prodotto:
