The toponyms Bit-Tenne and Tunanat are discussed in the article. The several times proposed identification of the first one, mentioned only in EA 260, with the t-n-n of Papyrus Hermitage 1116A is accepted and its geographical location is sought in Palestine. On the contrary, the connection with Tunanat/b is rejected and the city, mentioned in Akkadian and Hittite texts, should be placed in Syria.

Abstract

The toponyms Bit-Tenne and Tunanat are discussed in the article.
