In summary, we present a new versatile and practical Pdcatalyzed reaction for the synthesis of 4-vinyl-THBCs and 1-vinylTHGCs, via regioselective intramolecular AAA. The excellent levels in terms of yield and enantiomeric excess recorded suggest this strategy as a valuable candidate for the preparation of several classes of stereochemically defined polycyclic aromatic compounds.
