The shape of the gamma resonance absorption peak of the Eu3+ ion in glasses was investigated in a strontium metaphosphate of composition 0.1Eu(PO3)3 0.9Sr(PO3)2. The quality of the fits was tested by using the Durbin-Watson d statistics. The observed full width at half maximum of the peak was resolved into a contribution due to the structural disorder of the glass and a contribution due to the distortion of the Eu site compared to a cubic symmetry.

Abstract
The shape of the gamma resonance absorption peak of the Eu3+ ion in glasses was investigated in a strontium metaphosphate of composition 0.1Eu(PO3)3 0.9Sr(PO3)2. The quality of the fits was tested by using the Durbin-Watson d statistics. The observed full width at half maximum of the peak was resolved into a contribution due to the structural disorder of the glass and a contribution due to the distortion of the Eu site compared to a cubic symmetry.File in questo prodotto:
