The aim of the study was to evaluate whether long-term glucose instability is associated with increased plasma concentrations of soluble adhesion molecules in type 2 diabetic patients.In conclusion, in a small selected sample of diabetic subjects, high FPG instability seems to be associated with an endothelialdysfunction that may increase the risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.The present results must be confirmed in a large prospective study.
