In this chapter, we present the discussion about the concept of corporate citizenship, offer some information about its historical development, elaborate on the three main approaches to corporate citizenship offered by Matten and Crane (2005), present some recent developments in the discussion, and conclude by offering two examples in the form of case studies that illustrate the relevance of corporate citizenship for a responsible, sustainable, and humanistic management.

Abstract
